Setting up Laravel’s authentication system

Laravel makes it easy to set up an authentication system for your application. Here’s a summary of the steps involved:

Run the following command to install the authentication scaffolding:

php artisan make:auth

This command will create the necessary views and routes for a basic authentication system, including login and registration forms.

Next, you’ll need to create a database and set up your database credentials in the .env file.

Run the following command to create the necessary tables in the database:

php artisan migrate

Your authentication system is now set up and ready to use!

Connecting Laravel and Vue.js

To connect Laravel and Vue.js, you’ll need to install Vue.js and the Vue Router. You can do this by running the following command:

npm install -S vue vue-router

Next, create a new Vue component for the login form. You can do this by creating a new file in the resources/js/components directory and adding the following code:

<template>
  <form>
    <!-- form fields go here -->
  </form>
</template>

<script>
export default {
  data() {
    return {
      // form data goes here
    }
  },
  methods: {
    // form submission logic goes here
  }
}
</script>

Then, you’ll need to create a new route in your Vue router that maps to this component. You can do this by adding the following code to your resources/js/router.js file:

import LoginForm from './components/LoginForm.vue'

export default new Router({
  routes: [
    {
      path: '/login',
      name: 'login',
      component: LoginForm
    }
  ]
})

Finally, you’ll need to update your Laravel layout file (usually located at resources/views/layouts/app.blade.php) to include the Vue component. You can do this by adding a div element with an id attribute, and then binding the component to this element using the following code:

<div id="app">
  <login-form></login-form>
</div>

<script>
  import LoginForm from './components/LoginForm.vue';

  new Vue({
    el: '#app',
    components: {
      LoginForm
    }
  });
</script>

That’s it! You can now use your Vue.js login form to authenticate users in your Laravel application.
